Caddie fees and tips in Pattaya

Before you tee off

Know the two payments

At most courses in the Pattaya records, a caddie is required and charged per player. Confirm the rule with your chosen course. 7 of 26 course records publish a separate 18-hole caddie fee, from ฿350 to ฿500; ask the other courses for theirs.

Multiple 2025–26 sources cite ฿400–600 as a discretionary 18-hole tip, with ฿200–300 sometimes cited for nine holes. Siam Country Club says gratuities start at ฿500. Your chosen amount can be higher and remains your decision.

The checked 2025–26 sources cite ฿400–600 for 18 holes and sometimes ฿200–300 for 9 holes. Siam Country Club says gratuities start at ฿500. Higher amounts are discretionary; no amount is a compulsory service rating.

Working together on the course

1. Fee and tip are separate

The compulsory caddie fee and a discretionary cash tip are separate payments; ask the course or booking provider what the bill includes

2. Pay in Thai baht

Checked guidance recommends paying a chosen tip directly in Thai baht after the round

3. Note the caddie number

Caddies commonly wear numbered vests; note the number if you want to ask for the same caddie again, subject to availability

4. Typical caddie duties

Common duties include club selection, green reading, lines and yardages, bunker raking, club cleaning, umbrella help and pace support

5. Course-specific cart rule

At Siam CC the caddies also drive your compulsory individual cart; Phoenix Gold's price list separates a standard tier from an optional operator-labelled premium caddie tier

6. Guidance, not a tariff

Tip amounts are discretionary; the cited range is source-attributed guidance rather than a guaranteed service rating

7. Respect and escalation

Treat the assigned caddie respectfully and raise any practical issue calmly with the course or group organiser

Check the caddie fee for your course

A dated Greenwood walking package is not evidence of a universal walking rule; its card and booking channel have separate conditions. The amount below is the separately published 18-hole fee where one is available. A bundled price does not establish the standalone fee. Ask the course for the current full quote before booking. Outside this table, Wangjuntr Golf Park’s tariff also lists green fee, caddie and cart charges separately.

On the day

From check-in to the last green

At booking, ask for green fee, caddie and cart as separate lines. At check-in, keep the receipt and note the caddie number if you would like to request that person again. After the round, hand any chosen tip directly to the caddie in Thai baht.

At Siam Country Club a caddie drives each compulsory individual cart. Phoenix Gold publishes standard and optional premium caddie tiers. Ask your selected club how its current assignment and cart rules work.

If a practical problem arises, raise it calmly with the course or group organiser. The first-round guide covers the rest of the golf day.
